A collaborative approach.

EnVision worked with multiple stakeholders to improve the safety and traffic movements along Dixie Road between Mayfield Road and Old School Road in the Town of Caledon.  Working with the Region, Town, Adjacent Landowners and the Project Team, EnVision created a vastly improved road corridor including a new multi-use path, sidewalk and traffic lanes throughout the corridor to provide improved safety for pedestrians and cyclists, greater access for vehicular traffic and more options for employees to the future logistics sites along the corridor.

A multi-disciplinary approach.

EnVision provided scope for a number of services which required proper coordination and understanding of the scope by all parties involved. Required great organization and communication between field and design staff.

Excellence through collaboration.

It was very important to coordinate the design with all stakeholders to this site – including Existing Residents, the Region of Peel, Town of Caledon, and End Users of the Adjacent Sites.  By taking into consideration the perspective of all the stakeholders and project team members, we were able to address or significantly mitigate any concerns related to this project to create an excellent product for all future users.

A forward thinking design.

As the Dixie-Mayfield Logistics Hub will include Several Cutting-Edge Facilities, it was important to consider future needs for the corridor and to allow for as much flexibility as practically possible.  Including Innovative Stormwater Management features such as Infiltration Swales and Rain Gardens were utilized wherever possible.  Through collaboration with the adject landowners, we were able integrate Active Transportation Measures into the private sites which makes for a better experience for users.
